Juniors
Juniors are 4th and 5th Graders
Badges
The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum sometimes offers a workshop for the Detective Badge and Geocatcher. Dates go up in late summer and early spring.
One of our troops is looking to start a plot for all Juniors to be able to work on their Gardening Badge.
The Camping Badge can be earned on one’s own as well at one of our camp outs.
Many badges for this age group can be earned by the girls on their own with little or no help from their leader.
Journeys
Let’s Get Moving-
The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum usually offers a Junior Badge Workshop in November. The Energize Badge, which is part of the Let’s Get Moving Journey, will be earned.
Amuse Journey
The Amuse Journey is a favorite among girls and leaders. If you’re going to only do one Journey, this one might be the best choice especially if you have girls who like to dance, sing or act.
Agent of Change
Agent of Change was one of the first journeys created. If your troop has graphic comic lovers or future cartoonists there’s a whole section for them to adore. The research into important women of the past is very illuminating.
Uniform
Here’s a link to the Girl Scouts USA website to see where insignia/patches should be placed:

Sash or Vest is up to the troop. The few items we require are the green insignia tab, WAGGGS pin and membership pin. To march in the Memorial Day Parade we require the green tab and pins, a PLAIN white shirt and khaki bottoms (shorts, skort, skirt, pants).
